We will shortly be opening applications for an engagement officer and also a website officer. If you are passionate about maternity services and getting involved in service development then this could be perfect for you!


We are looking for enthusiasm and a desire to support and improve maternity services, and flexibility is also an advantage.


The successful applicant will ideally have recent personal experience of using maternity services (ie in the last 5 years) and have the passion and commitment to continue ensuring the voices of birthing women and people and families are heard so that our Trust provide the best maternity experience during pregnancy, labour and the postnatal days.


The roles are home based, flexible and can be worked around children and babies, with babies welcome in most meetings!


We are really keen to increase the diversity of the MVP and ensure we are representative of the community that we servce. We particularly welcome applications from people of colour, LGBTQ+ people and disabled people, who are currently under-represented in the MVP. We will use positive action under the Equality Act 2010 to appoint from these under-represented groups if two candidates are equally qualified.


These are volunteer roles but there is an honorarium available which equates to remuneration for 1.0 days/month at standard NHS Patient and Public Voice rates.
