Lauren
Bereavement Lead
I’m Lauren. Bereavement Lead for MNVP. Mum to four children, one of whom was born sleeping.
Nothing can prepare you for losing a child. But after experiencing such a profound loss, I began to appreciate the importance of support from those who truly understand.
I started working for MNVP in January 2024. My aim is to be able to offer families a safe space to grieve and the opportunity to meet and be around people who comprehend the gravity of child loss. I endeavour to make the services available to us as good as they can be, to help us begin to move forwards. None of us want to be walking this path, and I am passionate that we will do it together.

Lead
Hi, I’m Lulu- Lead for Bucks MNVP and mum to two little boys (for now!).
During my pregnancy, I was supported by the Perinatal Mental Health Team- a service that means a great deal to me, especially as perinatal mental health challenges are thought to affect between 10- 20% of all birthing people during pregnancy and the year following birth. I'm passionate about helping to ensure that positive maternity experiences become the norm, and I’m excited to work alongside the community and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust to support that goal.
When I’m not busy with MNVP work, you’ll usually find me outdoors- either out running with the boys, getting muddy in the garden, or trying to squeeze the whole family into the car for a trip to Cornwall (my happy place!). I'm currently on maternity leave from my legal role with an ambulance trust, but will be returning to it in due course.

Leanne
Treasurer and Engagement Lead
I’m Leanne, Treasurer and Engagement Lead for Bucks MNVP and the longest standing member of the committee.
I am a mum of 2 boys, a Hypnobirthing and Antenatal teacher and also a birth and postnatal doula, based in Tring. I have taught hundreds of parents locally and I believe that the MNVP gives people a voice and a chance to engage with their maternity service and help push for change.
When I am not immersed in the world of birth, I like to try and help with local environmental groups to care for our planet and children’s future.
Who’s Involved in Bucks MNVP
Our Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) is supported by a dedicated committee made up of parents, local birth workers, antenatal educators, hypnobirthing practitioners, and other passionate individuals. We also have a team of volunteers known as Service User Representatives, who play a key role in gathering feedback from the community.
You might spot our reps at local groups or events, engaging with families and listening to their experiences of maternity and neonatal care.
In addition to our volunteer team, the MNVP benefits from a broad and collaborative network of NHS professionals and partner organisations.
Regular meeting attendees often include:
-
The Director and Head of Midwifery
-
Consultant Midwife
-
Antenatal, NICU, Labour Ward & Postnatal Ward leads
-
GPs and Obstetric representatives
-
Infant Feeding and Health Visiting team members
-
Representatives from Buckinghamshire CCG, Healthwatch, and Buckinghamshire New University
…and many more, all working together to improve maternity and neonatal care across the region.

Khairun
Engagement Lead
Hello, my name is Khairun and I have 3 young children. I joined first as a mama attending the Mamas and Babas session (which I now help run) where I heard about Bucks MNVP which then led me to the Engagement Lead role.
It’s a very fulfilling and rewarding role which gives me an opportunity to make a positive impact for mothers, newborns and also for the community. I hope to continue making the changes and playing a part in improving the outcome for everyone.

Neonatal Lead and Vice Lead
I’m Becca and I’m Neonatal Lead for Buckinghamshire MNVP. I joined the team in November 2023.
I have three children, all of whom I had completely different birth experiences with. My youngest spent some time in Transitional Care and as a result, I felt passionate about joining MNVP and trying to make a difference.
My background is legal and I also volunteer as a Witness Support for Citizens Advice, supporting vulnerable people.

Lisa
Equity, Inclusion & Engagement Lead
I’m Lisa, the Equity, Inclusion & Engagement Lead. I am also a mum of two little ones. During mat leave for the first time I started a coffee morning for local families. Through these mornings I was hearing a wide range of experiences and it spurred me on to join the MNVP. I aim to help ensure people of all backgrounds and identities have the opportunity to feed back their experiences of the maternity services in a safe and welcoming environment.

Jo
Communications, Data and Insight Lead
Hey! I'm Jo. I’m responsible for bringing BMNVP’s voice to life through our social media, communications and insight work. I manage our online presence, create clear and approachable digital content, and dive into parent feedback to uncover what really matters to families. My role is all about turning experiences into meaningful insights, celebrating what’s working well, and helping drive improvements that genuinely make a difference. I love making sure every parent’s voice is heard - and heard by the right people.
Outside of BMNVP, I’m a juggling mum and business owner. Nothing truly prepares you for parenthood, and I love seeing how every family's journey is unique.
